Oranj Studio’s Lindsay Garcia gets Tamara ready for spring with some cool icy color.

Back:

Using a partial weave technique, stylists Lindsay alternates with colors “virtual mauve” and “virtual silver” to give subtle cooling blonds to Tamara’s platinum hair color.

Front:

This effect is most noticeable around the blunt bang. The cooling blonds continue around the crown and down the back.

The Tin Shed Garden Cafe located on 14th and Alberta is known for its breakfast, which without a doubt lives up to its reputation.

But it’s not only Tin Shed’s breakfast that makes it one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. The Tin Shed cares a lot about where their food is coming from - utilizing local and organic goods that are grown using the most environmentally friendly methods. This ensures a guilt-free, delicious meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Tin Shed has an amazing outdoor seating area, with a garden and a covered area that can still be used during the nine months of rain Portland experiences. The covered area even has a projector screen where they have movie and documentary nights on different days of the week. The Tin Shed is a place where the community can really come together, whether it’s waiting for breakfast on a Sunday morning or at one of the movie screenings. And did we mention they allow dogs and have a whole section in the menu for gourmet doggie treats?

Style Tip : Loose waves using the flat iron

Oranj Studio’s Lindsay Garcia demonstrates how to get great loose waves quickly with the flat iron.

	Step 1: Start by taking a one-inch section of hair and spray it with Does It All Styling Spray for heat protection and added shine.
	Step 2: Position iron as if you were flat-ironing the hair and clamp down.
	Step 3: Hold the iron downward and turn in a complete circle, while simultaneously pulling down the piece of hair.
	Step 4: Once all sections are curled, run fingers through the hair to loosen up the curls and add body. Finish with an all-over spray of Does It All.
	Step 5: To add to the style, you can take some of the hair up by adding small braids and pinning them in back.
	Finished Voila!

Back to Eden Bakery Boutique is a vegan bakery located at 22nd and NE Alberta Street.

They have treats that change regularly (strawberry banana cupcakes, rosewater sugar cookies, pumpkin whoopie pies - to name a few) and all are free of animal ingredients. Back to Eden even has a soy soft-serve machine. Though it’s a go to spot for sweet treats, they also have a selection of savory ones as well. There is an awesome house made rosemary cream cheese on yummy bagels, there’s also calzones, and tarts with fillings like Indian Curry and Spinach Artichoke. The staff is always friendly and will help you make your decision because they know just as well as you that it’s not an easy one.

New York City : Part 2 : Jedi Junkies Party

Though Eric admits he is 60% Ninja and only 40% Jedi, this was an event not to miss.

Sponsored by The Circuit and SightWorks, this party took place at the Slate and was the after hours event for the Jedi Junkies movie premiere.

The directors, casts and fans all came out for free-drinks and it was obvious the force effects everyone a little differently : ) We got our Jedi on!!!

New York City : Part 1 : Bumble + Bumble

Our latest trip to NYC started with a 3-day business immersion course at Bumble + Bumble’s campus in the meat-packing district. Three intensive days later we emerged totally inspired and completely impressed with B+B’s overall company vision. New ideas, product knowledge and great people are some of many reasons we look forward to coming back.
